On September 30th, 2020, a total number of 4,200 candidates were invited to apply for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry System. The same number of invitations have been issued in the two previous draws giving a total of 12,600 in September 2020 alone!
Today’s draw is the 164th draw and the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited is 471. Although the number is a bit high, this is actually low compared to the previous draws that goes as high as 771.
Prior to today’s draw, 8400 candidates received an Invitation to Apply more commonly known as ITA on September 2nd and September 16th.
If you were not invited this time, don’t feel bad as there are draws happening every two weeks so expect another two in the next couple of days. The question is how do you know whether you will get invited in the next draw?
As you might know, express entry is a points-based system and candidates in the pool are being ranked based on their CRS Score. The highest-ranking candidates from the pool are invited to apply for permanent residence.
Each invitation round has a set of instructions which are posted online at the time of the invitation round and used by the Express Entry system to invite candidates from the pool.
The instructions include the date and time of the invitation round, the number of candidates who will get an invitation to apply and which immigration programs are included in the round.
