Canada invites 1500 immigration candidates in its first All-Program Express Entry Draw since December 2020. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of candidate invited in this draw is 557 points.
Canada has invited 10,865 candidates so far in 2022.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada stopped all-program draws due to huge backlog of applications. Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said on April 22 that the backlog for federal high-skilled workers had been reduced by more than half, from about 112,000 in September 2021 to 48,000 in March 2022. The backlog has decreased since that day.
Now with backlog of applications greatly reduced, all-program draws have returned.
Canada may once again issue Invitations to Apply to candidates living in Canada or abroad.
Immigrate to Canada with Express Entry
Express Entry is one of the easiest immigration pathways for foreign nationals who wish to live and work in Canada. It is an online system that manages permanent residence applications from skilled workers who have met the requirements of the program they are applying for.
Canadian Immigration Targets over the next Three years
Over the next three years, Canada wants to welcome more than 1.3 million newcomers. These are the highest levels that Canada has ever tried to reach. Canada plans to target 762,600 economic immigrants as part of this total.
What are your Next Steps?
Canada has a record number of job openings in almost every industry, and it depends on newcomers to fill these positions. Obtaining an approved job offer is highly recommended. Have your Canadian Resume ready and start searching for Canadian Jobs.
Now that Express Entry draws are open to foreign workers again, Canada can quickly bring in newcomers to meet its labour market and population needs.
