Yukon Immigration Canada
If you want to come to the Yukon Territory of Canada for work and settle here with permanent residence, Yukon’s immigration programs are for you.
There are four main categories in this program that you can apply for.

Below-mentioned are the four categories associated with Yukon immigration.

  1. Yukon Express Entry
  2. Yukon Skilled Worker
  3. Yukon Critical Impact Worker
  4. Yukon Business Nominee Program

Here’s everything you need to know about each of these categories.

Yukon Express Entry
There are 3 sub-categories included in Yukon Express Entry.

1. Yukon Express Entry Skilled Worker

  • To qualify for this program, you have to pass the requirements for Federal Skilled Worker Program, which you can find here.
  • When you get accepted into the Express Entry pool, you will receive an Express Entry profile number, plus a job seeker validation code.
  • You will also need to show proof of your financial stability to support yourself and your family while living in Canada. Be noted that you have to show settlement funds for your family too, it doesn’t matter if they intend to come with you to Yukon or not.
  • You should have a full-time job offer from an employer in Yukon.

2. Yukon Express Entry Skilled Trades

  • To qualify for this program, you must meet the minimum requirements for the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
  • After getting accepted, you will get an Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.
  • You will need to show the settlement funds for you and your family, even if the family doesn’t intend to stay in Yukon.
  • You should have a full-time job offer from an employer in Yukon.
  • You also need a certificate of qualification in the required skilled trade.

3. Yukon Express Entry Canada Experience Class

  • To qualify for this program, you need to meet the minimum requirements of the Federal Canadian Experience Class.
  • After getting accepted, you will get an Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.
  • You should have a full-time job offer from an employer in Yukon.

Yukon Skilled Worker
If you have job experience in the NOC skill level O, A, or B, the Yukon Skilled Worker program is ideal for you. The requirements for it are as follows.

  • You should have at least one year of experience in a related job.
  • You must have the education and work experience required for the position. The criteria are set up by NOC.
  • You should have at least a high school diploma in the job’s area of study.
  • You need language expertise in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing to qualify for the job.

Yukon Critical Impact Worker
If your job offer falls under the NOC level C or D category, the Yukon Critical Impact Worker program is for you. You need to meet the following requirements to secure your job.

  • At least 6 months of work experience in a related job post.
  • You should meet all the education and work experience requirements set up by NOC.
  • For jobs in NOC level A and O, you will need English language expertise in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Yukon Business Nominee Program
If you wish to come to Yukon and build your business here, the Yukon Business Nominee Program is for you.

In this program, you will come to Yukon with a two-year temporary work permit. If you successfully kickstart your business within this duration, you can get permanent residence.

Here’s the process you will go through to be eligible for this program.

  • You submit the application for Yukon Business Nominee Program.
  • If your application meets the minimum program requirements, it’s placed for 6 months along with other accepted candidates’ applications.
  • If you’re selected from the pool of candidates, you are asked to submit documents to verify your application’s information.
  • If the information is verified, you will be invited to an in-person interview.
  • If you’re selected, the Yukon officials will help you get your two-year work permit from the federal government.
  • After the two years have passed, you will be nominated to get permanent residence.
